LAC Flying School, formally the Lancashire Aero Club is the longest running and most well established flying school in the Greater Manchester area. We are located at City Airport (Manchester Barton) which is conveniently located just off the M60 in Eccles making it easily accessible by road and the Greater Manchester public transport network.

We specialise in flying training for the Private Pilot Licence which is the first step on the road to becoming a commercial pilot. Over the years our instructors have trained many pilots who have gone on to have a career in the industry. Guidance for those wanting to make a career out of flying is widely available at the flying school. The PPL is also the licence obtained by many recreational flyers that use it to tour the UK and even Europe!

As well as providing training towards the issue of a licence we also offer trial lessons for those wanting to experience the thrill of flying a light aircraft and gift vouchers that make ideal presents for a variety of special occasions. As we have our own in-house examiners we can also offer revalidations/renewals for the PPL and IMC ratings, as well as a number of other training courses.
